The snow is pouring down here in the Pocono Mountains of Northeastern Pennsylvania. It's shaping up to be a fun filled real winter time new years weekend experience here on the mountain! We got 2013 right around the corner, tourists packing the mountain to usher it in, and crispy white snow all day long. Is there a better way for the Poconos to have a New Years Weekend?! Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween to everyone in the active rain world! Truly one of the best times of year for Festivities, Parties, Candy, and Fun Times! There are some Haunted Attractions right here in the Pocono Mountains that will scare you out of your socks! All Across the Poconos there are some real Haunted Homes, Attractions, Festivities, and Institutions with a lot of history behind them that have been scaring people into and out of the Poconos for years now! Some are known nation wide for their scariness and frightfullness. Who would have thought that the Pocono Mountains of Northeastern Pennsylvania would full of such Halloween Festivities!

 

-Hotel Of Horror in Saylorsburg. This is the final night for this Fright Filled Festivity in the Pocono Mountains. Halloween is sure to be the scariest night of them all at the Legendary Abandoned Lake House Hotel!

-Fresh Brews and Good Food at the Haunted Brewery in Tannersville Pa on Route 611. Dine amongst the dead!

Halloween Events This Weekend in the Poconos!

On Saturday October 27th, 2012 join the Zombie Walk and Holiday of the Dead in Stroudsburg Pa at The Sherman Theater!The Zombie walk of Stroudsburg Pa begins at the Hampton Inn of Stroudsburg at 5:30 PM leading right into the zombie reception in the Sherman Theater Lobby at 6:20 PM. The following event will be the Holiday of the Dead at 7PM. The film takes place in the near possible future when a storm of events brings blood seeking zombies and martial law in America upon us.

Pub in the Pines invites you to be a part of their fantastic Halloween party this Saturday October 27th, 2012. This will take place at one of the Pocono Mountain's favorite hot spots The Jubilee Restaurant. No better way to celebrate Halloween then a Halloween party with friends and family! This is a 21 and over Halloween Bash with Great Prizes, Drinks, Free Buffet, and DJ Music.

The Fun has begun from October 1st through October 31st Sunday through Thursday at 11 Am to 9 PM and Friday and Saturday 11 AM to 10:30 PM. Dine among ghosts, ghouls, and goblins in the famous haunted brewery at Barley Creek Brewing Co. This restaurant is decorated from top to bottom with everything Halloween has to offer. Fall Foliage Is a Glorious Time in the Poconos

Fall Time in the Pocono Mountains of Northeastern Pennsylvania is a truly glorious time of year. Of course, the Poconos is a 4 season type of region offering many different varieties of family fun and fantastic views, but there is something about Fall Foliage in the Poconos that really brings out the best of the entire region. Every Pocono Town is completely surrounded by acres and acres of Trees, Forest like settings, Pa Gamelands, and the purest beauty mother nature has to offer. The leaves of these many many trees are changing into an almost rainbow variety of different colors, and they're falling all over the place like a true Leaf Blizzard. The black bears of the Poconos are always on their way into hybernation during this time of year, but I've still seen a few in my past Autumn Seasons in the Poconos. We are currently in the middle of the best time of Fall for leaf changing colors with the peak being mid September through the end of October! The Fall Festivities have already kicked off offering a little something for everyone who is joining us in the Pocono Mountains for this Fall Season. Whether it be a horseback ride, a train ride through the region, a haunted hayride, or a simple hike or mountain bike ride with your camera ready to snap, the Pocono Mountains during Fall Foliage is the place you truly want to be. There are many many scenic driving routes throughout the Poconos. Perfect season and Perfect region for a nice long drive of beauty. There are craft festivals, beer festivals, pumpkin patches, haunted houses, hot air balloons, and most of all a fantastic peak of Fall Foliage Beauty throughout the Pocono Mountains. Pumpkins, Hayrides, and Autumn Festivities

There are some Haunted Attractions right here in the Pocono Mountains that will scare you out of your socks! Some are known nation wide for their scariness and frightfullness. Who would have thought that the Pocono Mountains of Northeastern Pennsylvania would full of such Halloween Festivities! Everywhere you turn there are pumpkins!

The event full of Halloween Festivities is recurring weekly on Saturdays and Sundays and, it is located on Blue Mountain Drive at The Blue Mountain Ski Area. The Pocono Mountain's Mountain Harvest Festival is underway every weekend for the whole month of October! Come celebrate the autumn season at Blue Mountain's Harvest Festival. This event will be held each weekend for seven consecutive weekends. Enjoy scenic lift rides, food and specialty vendors, a corn maze, haunted hay rides, pumpkin picking, painting and chuckin', plus live music, games, and amusements.This event is surely fun for the whole family.

Fall Foliage is Full of Events in the Poconos

Fall Foliage is officially here on the calender and in the air with the Beautiful weather we have been having here in the Pocono Mountains. The cool breeze is blowing and the Festivities are rolling through the region as everyone gets their fair share of Fall Foliage in this 2012 Fall Season. We here in the Poconos do Fall BIG in celebrations of Festivities, Haunted House Attractions, Concerts, and many more.

Recurring every weekend from September 21st through October 31st is the classic Hotel of Horror located in Saylorsburg Pa of the Pocono Mountains. Already going on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday this is a must for all those in the Poconos and love a good scare! There is evil lurking as Fall and Halloween inch closer and closer. There will be Three state of the art attractions located inside the Legendary Abandoned Lake House Hotel in Historic Saylorsburg, PA. Attractions include The Apocalypse, The Carnival of Armageddon, and The Exhibition Macabre. Live actors, paranormal activity and award winning lighting and sound.

Trans - Siberian Orchestra are coming to the Northeast like they do every Holiday Season to gives their electric lightshow , rock n roll mixed with Christmas music, and a holiday season cheer. Enjoy Fall Festivities & Holidays in the Pocono Mountains

One thing is for sure here in the Lovely Pocono Mountains of Northeastern Pennsylvania. That one thing is this, Fall is Here! Some Festivities are set to take place and are already taking place all across the Poconos. The Historic Pocono Town of Jim Thorpe knows how to kick Fall off in a Seasonal Way. This weekend of October 6th and October 7th (Saturday and Sunday) enjoy some fun Fall Festivities on Broadway in downtown Jim Thorpe. Train rides, vendors, crafters, goodies from the Jim Thorpe Farmers Market, bike rentals and rides in the surrounding hills or along the Lehigh River on the newly-opened rail-trail, free entertainment at different venues throughout the downtown, and seasonal specials from restaurants and shops. Halloween Festivities in the Pocono Mountains

Fall Foliage is officially here in the Pocono Mountains. That means the festivities are here to stay for the Fall Season, and there are certainly some Festivals that you MUST be at if you're here in the Poconos. Some of the funest parts of Fall Foliage in the Pocono Mountains are the Halloween Festivities. So many Fright Filled Festivities are happening here in the Poconos to usher in Halloween 2012!

The Old Jail Ghost Tours are set to begin October 13th through October 31st. Old Jail Tours takes place in the historic Pocono Town of Jim Thorpe Pa at the Old Jail Museum on 128 West Broadway. Tours are held every 20 minutes from 6:30 to 9:30 PM. Listen to spine-chilling tales of strange and unexplained happenings in this historic building during a candlelit tour. Hear strange voices from an empty cell, see black shadows floating past you, or even experience a tap on your shoulder from something you cannot see. These are all true experiences had by real visitors. Please keep in mind that this is not a haunted house. Be sure to bring your camera and catch a ghost.

Terror of the Mountain is another Halloween Fright Filled Festivity in the Pocono Mountains taking place at a Pocono Favorite Resort known as Blue Mountain Ski Area. Taking place today October 5th through October 28th Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 7 to 10 PM. Terror on the Mountain features a haunted hayride, corn maze and a haunted lodge for five consecutive weekends. Zombie Apocalypse is the theme of Terror on the Mountain! Fall Festivities at Pocono Resorts

Fall Foliage in the Beautiful Pocono Mountains of Northeastern Pennsylvania is in full effect. Lets begin the Fall Festivities on all regions of the Poconos until its Ski Season! Fall time brings a lot of Beautiful views and Festivals to the great Pocono Mountains. Fall is the season also leading into one of the biggest times of the year for the Poconos which is Ski and Snowboarding season at some of your favorite Pocono Resorts such as Big Boulder & Jack Frost , Camelback Mountain, and Shawnee Mountain. The Poconos already has some fun filled Festivities lined up to usher in the upcoming Fall Foliage Season!

Already being celebrated every Saturday and Sunday from September 15th through September 30th is the fun filled Mountain Harvest Festival at Blue Mountain Ski Area on Blue Mountain Drive. Come celebrate the autumn season at Blue Mountain's Harvest Festival. This event will be held each weekend for seven consecutive weekends. Enjoy scenic lift rides, food and specialty vendors, a corn maze, haunted hay rides, pumpkin picking, painting and chuckin', plus live music, games, and amusements. This is a great Fall Festivity that is fun for the whole family!

Shawnee Mountain gets into the Fall Festivities right away with the Shawnee Mountain Rodeo and Chili Cook Off. Come enjoy warm tastes at Shawnee in the perfect season for a hot bowl chili. experience the thrill of professional cowboys competing in fully sanctioned PRCA events including bronc riding, bull riding, and more. Country music, line dancing, and craft and food vendors add to the weekend festivities. Come early for the Sixth Annual Chili Cook-Off and sample some of the Pocono Mountains' finest chili. A one day ticket at the gate is $15/adult, $12/child (ages 5-12), and children ages 4 and under are free. Two day tickets at the gate are $24/adult, $24/child (ages 5-12), and children ages 4 and under are free. Advance discount tickets are available online or by calling. Tons of Fun in the Northeast This Fall

Megadeath is coming to The Sherman Theater in Stroudsburg Pa of the Pocono Mountains. Yes, Megadeath the legendary Heavy Medal band that has many hits, and is one of the most influential heavy medal bands of the 80s. The Sherman Theater is right on Main Street in Stroudsburg Pa. See them live on November 19th, 2012 at 8PM. VIP Packages are available.

 

Take a stroll through the historic and colorful Jim Thorpe this Fall Foliage season for a number of Fall fun activities. Jim Thorpe celebrates everyone's favorite season with Fall Foliage Days! Some Upcoming End of Summer & Fall Events.

-Nitty Gritty Band at Penns Peak on September 21st, 2012. Doors Open at 6PM and Show Begins at 8PM. Iconic and Influential band with Country and American Roots Music. 

-Draw The Line Aerosmith Tribute Band at Mt. Airy Casino Resort. September 2nd, 2012 at 7PM. Performing your favorite Aerosmith hits on Labor Day Weekend in the Poconos.

- Mount Airy Fireworks Specials will take place Saturday September 1st, 2012 beginning at 9PM, and is set to go off over The Pocono Resort's Sprawling Lake. Bring lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy FREE SHOW.

-The Pocono Garlic Festival will once again grace the Pocono Mountains of Northeastern Pennsylvania with the aroma of Garlicy Goodness. Over 50 vendors will be offering everything from garlic vinegar and garlic ice cream to garlic-themed pottery and paintings. A showcase of local musicians, educational demonstrations, and plenty of children's activities make this a great family event. The festival will be held from 10am-6pm on 9/1/12 and 9/2/12 at Shawnee Mountain Ski Area.

-Take the train to Scranton for two great events, La Festa Italiana and Steamtown Railfest. The train will depart from Delaware Water Gap at 9am, East Stroudsburg at 9:15am and Cresco at 10:10am, arriving at La Festa Italiana at 11:45am, and Steamtown Railfest at 11:50am. The return trip departs from Steamtown at 3pm and La Festa Italiana at 3:10pm. There is nothing like a Scenic train ride through the Pocono Mountains at the end of the Summer.

Fun Upcoming Pocono Mountain Festivals

Pocono State Craft Festival.

As summer reaches its summit, and the true splendor of Pennsylvania hits its apex, everybody knows it's time for the Pocono State Craft Festival. All eyes turn toward Stroudsburg and The Quiet Valley Living Historical Farm. Craft demonstrations will include blacksmithing, wheel thrown pottery, wood turning, and theorem painting. Special events will include wagon rides, the Quiet Valley Baker, and one room school house mini tours. Guest can enjoy Dixieland and Bluegrass music. Come on Down to Stroudsburg of the Pocono Mountain's Favorite Farm, and Summer wind down Craft Festival!

Lately, here in the Lovely Pocono Mountains it has been feeling more and more like Fall everytime the sun goes down! Fall is only right around the corner for us here in Northeastern Pennsylvania, and after one of the hottest Summers I've seen in a long time it's certainly refreshing. The overnight lows all week are in the mid 50s. I think it's safe to say that Fall might just come early this year in the Pocono Mountains. Fall Foliage Train Rides Through The Deleware Watergap - Enjoy a one-hour and forty-five minute round-trip train ride through the Delaware Water Gap and the rugged valley of the Brodhead Creek to East Stroudsburg. See the peak of fall foliage from the comfort of a climate controlled train. The train departs from the Delaware Water Gap station at 10:30am and 12:30pm and the East Stroudsburg station at 10am, noon, and 2pm. Tickets are $19 for adults and $16 for children 12 and under. There will be three trains operating each day on October 13th and the 20th.

River Adventure in Jim Thorpe This Weekend!

Who's looking to have a Fabulous good time on The Lehigh River in Jim Thorpe Pa this Summer?! If being out on the river in a boat, kayak, or canoe is your idea of fun, then The Lehigh River Sojourn is the trip for you. The Lehigh River Sojourn is an educational Whitewater Rafting, Canoeing, and Kayaking trip down the Lehigh River. During your trip you will experience all the Treasures of Nature that the Pocono Mountains has to offer including Scenic Views, Residential Wildlife, and Spectacular Recreational Opportunities. This is a long and fun trip and all are welcome. All participants have the option of registering for one of multiple days. This trip will stretch all the way from The Lehigh Gorge to the Calming Waters in Northampton. Fees include all of the following for each day registered - Campsite, Shuttle Service, Delicious Meals, Education Programs, and Entertainment. There's nothing better then having a fun filled trip down the river! It's especially a great trip when all proceeds go to a great cause. Proceeds for the Lehigh River Sojourn will go to Wildlands Conservancy. The first day of the adventure will be held at Mauch Chunk Lake Park.
