Pocono Festivities are running wild throughout the mountain this winter season. Many of our Resorts, Communities, and Towns hold many different events for its residents to enjoy the winter season to the fullest. Winter time is prime time in the Pocono Mountains whether its Skiing, Snowboarding, Tubing, Sledding, Icefishing, Iceskating, and some simple winter time festivities. There is something for everyone here in the Poconos. One of our corner stone towns known as Stroudsburg Pa ( home to the Sherman Theater), celebrates winter in many ways. Downtown Stroudsburg will be hosting the Fourth Annual Ice Festival during Presidents' Weekend. There will be a live ice carving demonstration of a five-block larger than life throne on the corner of 7th and Main Street. There will be amazing three dimensional ice sculptures displayed throughout Downtown Stroudsburg in front of many of the great stores. Enjoy hot cocoa or hot apple cider at Sarah's Corner Cafe.

 

Another fun festivity coming on March 3rd, 2013 is the 11th annual Chili and Wing Cook off! A perfect event for those food lovers who love to eat and have a good time. Sponsored by the Pocono Lake Region Chamber of Commerce. Taste, judge, and vote for your favorite wings and chili. Businesses or individuals are welcome to enter free of charge. Enjoy live entertainment provided by Emerald Entertainment and Abbey Road.

Tattoo Convention At The Sherman Theater In Stroudsburg!

In downtown Stroudsburg there is the legendary Sherman Theater. It is located just downtown on Main Street which runs through the Pocono Mountain Town of Stroudsburg. The Sherman Theater is known to bring in some great music and bands, and they also have their very own Festivities including art shows, holiday festivities, and many other celebrations. On the weekend of January 25th, 2013 through January 27th, 2013, The Sherman Theater brings all the tattoo and piercing fans to The Rock N Ink Expo. The Sherman Theater Rock N Ink Expo presented by Inkwitch Tattoo is a three-day tattoo and piercing convention for the alternative minded and otherwise, piecing together multiple attractions fit into an entire weekend. Set to feature over two dozen tattoo artists and piercers as well as various vendors. Rock N Ink features some of the regions and the world’s finest artist as they tattoo and pierce people live each day. Each day will feature various events during the course of the expo. Holiday Celebration in Jim Thorpe

In the Pocono Mountains we try to cherish every second of every season. Being a 4 Season Region, The Pocono Mountains celebrates all holidays and festivities perfectly, and not a single day goes by where there aren't some festivities, celebrations, or Pocono Resort Specials happening in celebration of a Pocono Tradition. Is it ever to early to get ready for the Holiday Season? Christmas in the Poconos is 2 months away, but that 2 months flies by! Everyone agrees that getting ready for Christmas starts in October as it is. There are certainly some Christmas and Holiday Celebrations going on this 2012 Holiday Season.

Jim Thorpe Pa is one of the more historic towns in the Pocono Mountains. It is also one of the hot spots for Pocono Festivities and Holiday Celebrations. In Downtown Jim Thorpe, the Celebrating of Olde Time Christmas begins December 1st and 2nd and then December 8th and 9th. Christmas is a special time of year in Jim Thorpe, and so the town will celebrate with the 2012 Jim Thorpe Olde Time Christmas Celebration. The celebration will included train rides with Santa, a live Nativity, Historic District Ghost Walks, Olde Time Christmas Arts Bazaar, gingerbread house contest, strolling carolers and musicians, expanded shopping hours, and seasonal dinner specials. If that is not enough, ticketed entertainment will take place each Saturday night of the Olde Time Christmas at the Mauch Chunk Opera House. Halloween Events This Weekend in the Poconos!

On Saturday October 27th, 2012 join the Zombie Walk and Holiday of the Dead in Stroudsburg Pa at The Sherman Theater!The Zombie walk of Stroudsburg Pa begins at the Hampton Inn of Stroudsburg at 5:30 PM leading right into the zombie reception in the Sherman Theater Lobby at 6:20 PM. The following event will be the Holiday of the Dead at 7PM. The film takes place in the near possible future when a storm of events brings blood seeking zombies and martial law in America upon us.

Pub in the Pines invites you to be a part of their fantastic Halloween party this Saturday October 27th, 2012. This will take place at one of the Pocono Mountain's favorite hot spots The Jubilee Restaurant. No better way to celebrate Halloween then a Halloween party with friends and family! This is a 21 and over Halloween Bash with Great Prizes, Drinks, Free Buffet, and DJ Music.

The Fun has begun from October 1st through October 31st Sunday through Thursday at 11 Am to 9 PM and Friday and Saturday 11 AM to 10:30 PM. Dine among ghosts, ghouls, and goblins in the famous haunted brewery at Barley Creek Brewing Co. This restaurant is decorated from top to bottom with everything Halloween has to offer. Fall Foliage Is a Glorious Time in the Poconos

Fall Time in the Pocono Mountains of Northeastern Pennsylvania is a truly glorious time of year. Of course, the Poconos is a 4 season type of region offering many different varieties of family fun and fantastic views, but there is something about Fall Foliage in the Poconos that really brings out the best of the entire region. Every Pocono Town is completely surrounded by acres and acres of Trees, Forest like settings, Pa Gamelands, and the purest beauty mother nature has to offer. The leaves of these many many trees are changing into an almost rainbow variety of different colors, and they're falling all over the place like a true Leaf Blizzard. The black bears of the Poconos are always on their way into hybernation during this time of year, but I've still seen a few in my past Autumn Seasons in the Poconos. We are currently in the middle of the best time of Fall for leaf changing colors with the peak being mid September through the end of October! The Fall Festivities have already kicked off offering a little something for everyone who is joining us in the Pocono Mountains for this Fall Season. Whether it be a horseback ride, a train ride through the region, a haunted hayride, or a simple hike or mountain bike ride with your camera ready to snap, the Pocono Mountains during Fall Foliage is the place you truly want to be. Everywhere you turn there are pumpkins!

The event full of Halloween Festivities is recurring weekly on Saturdays and Sundays and, it is located on Blue Mountain Drive at The Blue Mountain Ski Area. The Pocono Mountain's Mountain Harvest Festival is underway every weekend for the whole month of October! Come celebrate the autumn season at Blue Mountain's Harvest Festival. This event will be held each weekend for seven consecutive weekends. Enjoy scenic lift rides, food and specialty vendors, a corn maze, haunted hay rides, pumpkin picking, painting and chuckin', plus live music, games, and amusements.This event is surely fun for the whole family.

Already going on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday this is a must for all those in the Poconos and love a good scare! There is evil lurking as Fall and Halloween inch closer and closer. There will be Three state of the art attractions located inside the Legendary Abandoned Lake House Hotel in Historic Saylorsburg, PA. Attractions include The Apocalypse, The Carnival of Armageddon, and The Exhibition Macabre. Live actors, paranormal activity and award winning lighting and sound.

The Traditional Holiday Extravaganza that always makes its way through the Northeast is coming back once again this Holiday Season! Trans - Siberian Orchestra are coming to the Northeast like they do every Holiday Season to gives their electric lightshow , rock n roll mixed with Christmas music, and a holiday season cheer. They've been coming to Mohegan Sun Arena in Wilkes Barre for years now, and it is a show you do not want to miss! Halloween Festivities in the Pocono Mountains

Fall Foliage is officially here in the Pocono Mountains. That means the festivities are here to stay for the Fall Season, and there are certainly some Festivals that you MUST be at if you're here in the Poconos. Some of the funest parts of Fall Foliage in the Pocono Mountains are the Halloween Festivities. So many Fright Filled Festivities are happening here in the Poconos to usher in Halloween 2012!

The Old Jail Ghost Tours are set to begin October 13th through October 31st. Old Jail Tours takes place in the historic Pocono Town of Jim Thorpe Pa at the Old Jail Museum on 128 West Broadway. Tours are held every 20 minutes from 6:30 to 9:30 PM. Listen to spine-chilling tales of strange and unexplained happenings in this historic building during a candlelit tour. Hear strange voices from an empty cell, see black shadows floating past you, or even experience a tap on your shoulder from something you cannot see. These are all true experiences had by real visitors. Please keep in mind that this is not a haunted house. Be sure to bring your camera and catch a ghost.

Terror of the Mountain is another Halloween Fright Filled Festivity in the Pocono Mountains taking place at a Pocono Favorite Resort known as Blue Mountain Ski Area. Taking place today October 5th through October 28th Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 7 to 10 PM. Terror on the Mountain features a haunted hayride, corn maze and a haunted lodge for five consecutive weekends. Zombie Apocalypse is the theme of Terror on the Mountain! Fall Festivities at Pocono Resorts

Enjoy scenic lift rides, food and specialty vendors, a corn maze, haunted hay rides, pumpkin picking, painting and chuckin', plus live music, games, and amusements. This is a great Fall Festivity that is fun for the whole family!

Shawnee Mountain gets into the Fall Festivities right away with the Shawnee Mountain Rodeo and Chili Cook Off. Come enjoy warm tastes at Shawnee in the perfect season for a hot bowl chili. experience the thrill of professional cowboys competing in fully sanctioned PRCA events including bronc riding, bull riding, and more. Country music, line dancing, and craft and food vendors add to the weekend festivities. Come early for the Sixth Annual Chili Cook-Off and sample some of the Pocono Mountains' finest chili. A one day ticket at the gate is $15/adult, $12/child (ages 5-12), and children ages 4 and under are free. Two day tickets at the gate are $24/adult, $24/child (ages 5-12), and children ages 4 and under are free. Advance discount tickets are available online or by calling. Yes, Megadeath the legendary Heavy Medal band that has many hits, and is one of the most influential heavy medal bands of the 80s. The Sherman Theater is right on Main Street in Stroudsburg Pa. Green Day is coming to the Northeast. For all the Green Day fans out there ( and i know there are many) Green Day is making their busy schedule to the Northeast at Mohegan Sun Arena in Wilkes Barre Pa. Green is a very influential alternative punk rock band that has sold millions of albums and has dozens of hits. This show will not be happening until January 10th, 2013, but tickets are going on sale to the public September 15th, 2012 at 10 AM. These tickets will sell out quick!
