Enjoy lighting up the holiday season at Phifer Ice Dam Park in Lehighton Pennsylvania. A Very family friendly event that shines the lights on the holiday season here in the Pocono Mountains. We call this the Festival Of Lights! During the Festival of Lights, the Phifer Ice dam Park takes on a magical holiday glow with more than 400,000 lights in a giant outdoor walk-through display as the sounds of the season are heard throughout the park. Santa will appear at the festival nightly up until Christmas. The cost is $4 for adults and $2 children 4-12 years. Children under 4 are free. The festival will be held from 5-9pm.

Guides dressed in period clothing lead you by lantern light through the historic buildings and displays. Enjoy storytelling, Christmas Putz, Victorian skit, live Nativity, caroling, Belschnikel visit, gift shop, and much more. Hours are 3:30-7pm. Groups of 12 or more, by reservation only, from 2:30-3:30pm and can receive $1 off. Rain or shine. Annual Old Time Christmas will continue December 8-9, 2012.

Down in in Stroudsburg we get the Christmas Spirit going in November with the Pocono Famous Christmas Tree Lighting!Get into the holiday spirit at the Annual Tree Lighting in Courthouse Square. Festivities will begin with traditional Christmas carols, followed by the lighting of the tree by the Mayor of Stroudsburg. Winter Carnival in the Pocono Mountains

Ski Season in the Pocono Mountains has people flooding the entire region for several months. We're feeling a real break in the weather up here, and that leads me to believe that Ski Season is right around the corner in the Poconos! We are known for many things here in the Beautiful Pocono Mountains, but Skiing, Snowboarding, Tubing, and winter time fun seems to be everyone's personal favorite when it comes to Pocono Living. The Pocono Ski Resorts host many different Winter Sports Fun Festivities all winter long!

 

A very fun part of celebrating Ski Season in the Pocono Mountains is the Pocono Favorite Winter Carnival at Big Bear on Masthope Mountain in Pike County. All kinds of winter fun is to be had! Hit the snow for a fun day filled with ski races, big air competition, rail jams, an all day scavenger hunt and lunch tray races. Head to the rental shop for a free wax and sharpen; or visit the lodge for raffles, live entertainment, and more. The event will be held from 9am-4:30pm. The Rail Jams will begin at 1pm and there is a $5 entrance free. The Race Program will be held from 2-4pm. This event is still quite awhile away taking place on January 27th, 2013, but it is not too far away to start planning to attend this Winter Time Favorite in the Pocono Mountains!

Hot Shows Storming into the Poconos!

The Pocono Mountains is certainly known for its Skiing, Fall Foliage, Lakes, Hunting, Fishing, and many other things. One of the things the Poconos also has is a very active nightlife with entertainment spreading all across the mountain! Entertainment comes from Pocono Resorts such as Split Rock or Mount Air Casino, or from concert events held at the Poconos very own Sherman Theater or Penns Peak! -The worldwide 10 million album selling country music legends known as Lonestar are making their way to Penns Peak in Jim Thorpe Pa Friday November 16th, 2012 at 8 PM.

-Continuing the Thanksgiving Eve Tradition the Dark Star Orchestra is also making their way to Penns Peak in Jim Thorpe Pa on Wednesday November 21st, 2012 at 8 PM. Dark Star Orchestra is a Grateful Dead cover band.

-Coming back to Penns Peak in Jim Thorpe is the legendary classic rock band Blue Oyster Cult. Listed on VH1 as one of the greatest rock bands of all time, they grace Penns Peak Friday December 7th, 2012 at 8PM.

- A true metal mayhem concert storming through Stroudsburg Pa at the Sherman Theater on Main Street featuring heavy metal favorites Lamb of God, In Flames, Hatebreed, and Sylosis on November 14th, 2012.

Is it ever to early to get ready for the Holiday Season? Christmas in the Poconos is 2 months away, but that 2 months flies by! Everyone agrees that getting ready for Christmas starts in October as it is. There are certainly some Christmas and Holiday Celebrations going on this 2012 Holiday Season.

Jim Thorpe Pa is one of the more historic towns in the Pocono Mountains. It is also one of the hot spots for Pocono Festivities and Holiday Celebrations. In Downtown Jim Thorpe, the Celebrating of Olde Time Christmas begins December 1st and 2nd and then December 8th and 9th. Christmas is a special time of year in Jim Thorpe, and so the town will celebrate with the 2012 Jim Thorpe Olde Time Christmas Celebration. The celebration will included train rides with Santa, a live Nativity, Historic District Ghost Walks, Olde Time Christmas Arts Bazaar, gingerbread house contest, strolling carolers and musicians, expanded shopping hours, and seasonal dinner specials. Green Day is coming to the Northeast. For all the Green Day fans out there ( and i know there are many) Green Day is making their busy schedule to the Northeast at Mohegan Sun Arena in Wilkes Barre Pa. Green is a very influential alternative punk rock band that has sold millions of albums and has dozens of hits. Pumpkins, Hayrides, and Autumn Festivities

There are some Haunted Attractions right here in the Pocono Mountains that will scare you out of your socks! All Across the Poconos there are some real Haunted Homes, Attractions, Festivities, and Institutions with a lot of history behind them that have been scaring people into and out of the Poconos for years now! Some are known nation wide for their scariness and frightfullness. Who would have thought that the Pocono Mountains of Northeastern Pennsylvania would full of such Halloween Festivities! Everywhere you turn there are pumpkins!

The event full of Halloween Festivities is recurring weekly on Saturdays and Sundays and, it is located on Blue Mountain Drive at The Blue Mountain Ski Area. The Pocono Mountain's Mountain Harvest Festival is underway every weekend for the whole month of October! Come celebrate the autumn season at Blue Mountain's Harvest Festival. This event will be held each weekend for seven consecutive weekends. Enjoy scenic lift rides, food and specialty vendors, a corn maze, haunted hay rides, pumpkin picking, painting and chuckin', plus live music, games, and amusements.This event is surely fun for the whole family.

The Great Pumpkin Festival is loaded with new features, family friendly activities, and hauntingly fun filled events this year. Halloween Festivities in the Pocono Mountains

Fall Foliage is officially here in the Pocono Mountains. That means the festivities are here to stay for the Fall Season, and there are certainly some Festivals that you MUST be at if you're here in the Poconos. Some of the funest parts of Fall Foliage in the Pocono Mountains are the Halloween Festivities. So many Fright Filled Festivities are happening here in the Poconos to usher in Halloween 2012!

The Old Jail Ghost Tours are set to begin October 13th through October 31st. Old Jail Tours takes place in the historic Pocono Town of Jim Thorpe Pa at the Old Jail Museum on 128 West Broadway. Tours are held every 20 minutes from 6:30 to 9:30 PM. Listen to spine-chilling tales of strange and unexplained happenings in this historic building during a candlelit tour. Hear strange voices from an empty cell, see black shadows floating past you, or even experience a tap on your shoulder from something you cannot see. These are all true experiences had by real visitors. Please keep in mind that this is not a haunted house. Be sure to bring your camera and catch a ghost.

Terror of the Mountain is another Halloween Fright Filled Festivity in the Pocono Mountains taking place at a Pocono Favorite Resort known as Blue Mountain Ski Area. Taking place today October 5th through October 28th Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 7 to 10 PM. Terror on the Mountain features a haunted hayride, corn maze and a haunted lodge for five consecutive weekends. Zombie Apocalypse is the theme of Terror on the Mountain! Some More Fun fall Festivities in the Poconos

Fall Foliage is officially here on the calender and in the air with the Beautiful weather we have been having here in the Pocono Mountains. The cool breeze is blowing and the Festivities are rolling through the region as everyone gets their fair share of Fall Foliage in this 2012 Fall Season. We here in the Poconos do Fall BIG in celebrations of Festivities, Haunted House Attractions, Concerts, and many more.

Only a few days left of this Classic Fall Festivity. This will be the final weekend, and I'm sure it will go down with a bang. Come celebrate the autumn season at Blue Mountain's Harvest Festival. This event will be held each weekend for seven consecutive weekends. Enjoy scenic lift rides, food and specialty vendors, a corn maze, haunted hay rides, pumpkin picking, painting and chuckin', plus live music, games, and amusements. This is a great Fall Festivity that is fun for the whole family!

Tons of Fun in the Northeast This Fall

The Traditional Holiday Extravaganza that always makes its way through the Northeast is coming back once again this Holiday Season! Trans - Siberian Orchestra are coming to the Northeast like they do every Holiday Season to gives their electric lightshow , rock n roll mixed with Christmas music, and a holiday season cheer. They've been coming to Mohegan Sun Arena in Wilkes Barre for years now, and it is a show you do not want to miss! Showtime is November 25th, 2012 at 7:30 PM, and tickets go on sale to the public on September 14th, 2012.

 

Megadeath is coming to The Sherman Theater in Stroudsburg Pa of the Pocono Mountains. Yes, Megadeath the legendary Heavy Medal band that has many hits, and is one of the most influential heavy medal bands of the 80s. The Sherman Theater is right on Main Street in Stroudsburg Pa.
