The Cold Front is certainly here in the Pocono Mountains of Northeastern Pennsylvania. This can only mean one thing, and that is the fact that Ski Season is going to be here before we know it. Some look at the Poconos, and see ski season as their absolute favorite part of being in the region. We got a dusting of snow early this morning on October 31st, 2012, and it's safe to say that old man winter is here to stay. The Poconos has many different options when it comes to skiing. Holiday Celebration in Jim Thorpe

In the Pocono Mountains we try to cherish every second of every season. Being a 4 Season Region, The Pocono Mountains celebrates all holidays and festivities perfectly, and not a single day goes by where there aren't some festivities, celebrations, or Pocono Resort Specials happening in celebration of a Pocono Tradition. Is it ever to early to get ready for the Holiday Season? Christmas in the Poconos is 2 months away, but that 2 months flies by! Everyone agrees that getting ready for Christmas starts in October as it is. There are certainly some Christmas and Holiday Celebrations going on this 2012 Holiday Season.

Jim Thorpe Pa is one of the more historic towns in the Pocono Mountains. It is also one of the hot spots for Pocono Festivities and Holiday Celebrations. In Downtown Jim Thorpe, the Celebrating of Olde Time Christmas begins December 1st and 2nd and then December 8th and 9th. Christmas is a special time of year in Jim Thorpe, and so the town will celebrate with the 2012 Jim Thorpe Olde Time Christmas Celebration. The celebration will included train rides with Santa, a live Nativity, Historic District Ghost Walks, Olde Time Christmas Arts Bazaar, gingerbread house contest, strolling carolers and musicians, expanded shopping hours, and seasonal dinner specials. If that is not enough, ticketed entertainment will take place each Saturday night of the Olde Time Christmas at the Mauch Chunk Opera House. The Classic Beer Festival at Split Rock Resort!

Here in the Pocono Mountains Fall has arrived. It is without a doubt Fall Foliage season. The weather is already beginning to break with cool fall nights with sunny and windy days. A fun filled 2012 Summer is in the past so put the bikes, boats, and sandy beach gear away and get your fireplaces roaring, get ready for the festivities and holidays, and get ready for football season. Fall time brings a lot of Beautiful views and Festivals to the great Pocono Mountains. Fall is the season also leading into one of the biggest times of the year for the Poconos which is Ski and Snowboarding season at some of your favorite Pocono Resorts such as Big Boulder & Jack Frost , Camelback Mountain, and Shawnee Mountain.

The Beer Festival at Split Rock Resort is certainly a Pocono Favorite in Fall Foliage. This Festivity is a little further down the road, but that just gives you plenty of time to plan your trip! This one is for all the beer lovers! Split Rock holds its annual Beer Festival every Fall Season. The two day indoor festival will be held on Saturday November 17th and Sunday November 18th 2012 from Noon to 4PM. It will be located inside The Galleria at Split Rock Resort. It features musical entertainment on two different stages, over 30 of the country's finest breweries, and a wide selection of food and craft vendors. It also includes a delicious Beer Festival Dinner held on Saturday night. Tickets can be purchased on in advance or on the day of the Festival, and you are able to purchase tickets for both days of The Beer Festival. Each ticket to The Split Rock Beer Festival includes a commemorative beer tasting glass, tastings from all breweries in attendance, admission to all seminars, musical entertainment, and access to many different food and craft vendors. Split Rock also offers weekend packages for attendees wishing to stay over night.

 

 

 

 

Holiday Event in the Pocono Mountains!

The Holiday Season is approaching us, and it will be here before we know it. Here in the Pocono Mountains many people come here with their families to celebrate the holidays in their cozy Mountain Homes, and to get away from the hustle of the big city.
