Winter is still here in the Pocono Mountains, and the skiiers are storming into our Pocono Ski Resorts . Right after ski season comes Spring. Spring time in the Poconos brings many festivals and a lot of golfing and hiking. Here are a few festivals that will be coming to the Poconos this Spring Season.
The Pocono Mountains Run For Red Marathon takes place in our cornerstone town of Stroudsburg May 17th, 2015. The Pocono Mountains hosts runners for a 26.2 mile marathon through Monroe County. Race day also includes a 5k Road Race and a Two Person Marathon Relay. Both offer an exciting alternative to be involved in the event without participating in the full marathon. 100% of the entry fee will go toward disaster relief in Monroe County.
The Krell Adventure Games takes place in Blakeslee Pa on May 30th, 2015. Think Hunger Games meets Survivor meets the Amazing Race. Teams of two enter the arena with a map and each team chooses its own course and the obstacles to be tackled. Some will be physical, some will be mental. ALL will be challenging. Victory goes to the team that conquers the most obstacles in the shortest amount of time. Maximum time in the arena is three hours. The courses have approximately 15-20 challenges/obstacles.
